The Winning Season trailer

I first saw Sam Rockwell in the first live action Ninja Turtles film in 1990, not that I knew it back then. In fact it wasn’t until nearly a decade later in 1999’s The Green Mile that I became aware of who Sam Rockwell was and just how frickin’ great an actor he is! Then it was a further 10 year before he really started getting the attention he deserves after his near-one-man show in Moon, which is a shame as he has very impressive body of work – don’t get me wrong there have been some stinkers in there too (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy to name but one).

Anyway, here we have a trailer for his new film The Winning Season, which is basically about a guy (Rockwell) who is generally loathed by all of woman-kind, who is asked to coach a no-hope female basketball team. I love the look of this trailer, Rockwell has a natural talent for comedy, however I’m kinda concerned this maybe a creative step back for him.
