Wwwwaaaaaaarrrrrrbbbbb… Wwwwaaaaaaarrrrrrbbbbb. That my friends, seems to be the new universal sound for DRAMATIC EFFECT in trailers. I’m not sure who started it, but both Tron Legacy and Inception are utilising this bizarre noise and now so is this trailer for The Divide.

Sci-fi thriller, The Divide stars Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia and Rosanna Arquette and is about eight strangers who take refuge in the basement of their apartment after a cataclysmic explosion devastates New York City.

For some reason this trailer was only available on the films official site for 24 hours. Kinda weird as the film doesn’t (yet) have mass market appeal, nor a built in fan base. But anyway, we’ve managed to get hold of a copy via a scallywag on YouTube.

The film is still being shot, is directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman) and is due for release sometime in 2011.

Wwwwaaaaaaarrrrrrbbbbb… Wwwwaaaaaaarrrrrrbbbbb.
