Right, on first impressions the trailer for Skyline looks pretty cool. Directors Strause brothers who come from a special effects background – who have had their hand in Avatar and Benjamin Button, are directing at what looks like a pretty nifty Alien invasion flick. Unfortunately… the brothers have the truly terrible Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem stained forever on their résumé; I tried to revisit AVP:R recently to try and convince myself that maybe it wasn’t so bad…. I got fifteen minutes in -- until I felt I had to destroy the disc and cleanse my player and apologise for subjecting it s much abuse without prior warning. So, for now, all I can say is don’t expect too much and go into this with a little caution.
Official Synopsis:
After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherworldly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.
