Citizen Jane started life as a back-handed promotion for Aaron Burns’ feature debut Blacktino at this years Austin Fantastic Fest, but has now taken on a life of its own and maybe getting adapted into a full length feature.
The Citizen Jane trailer is featured in Blacktino, when the lead character watches it before the main feature whilst on a trip to the cinema. The trailer star Michelle Rodriquez as a woman looking to avenge the murder of her parents, billed as a remake of Orson Welles’ 1941 Citizen Kane, with a release of September 05, 2011.
Kinda sad that everyone is talking about a short trailer within a film rather than the film it’s self. Burns has revealed that conversations about making a full length feature based on the trailer. Good luck to ya brother.
