Peter Jackson and Del Toro have both confirmed to Harry Knowles (ain’t it cool news) that Toby Maguire isn’t in the running to play Bilbo. Rumours started when ‘The Sun’ a UK newspaper, (who are famous for making stories up) published it a few days ago. These are the guys who stated Eddie Murphy will be playing the Riddler in the next Batman film!? I mean… they’re not even trying anymore are they!?
Anyway both statements to Harry are below:
Peter Jackson:
No truth at all, although we’re all big fans of Toby. We are currently auditioning for Bilbo, and a month or two away from any announcements.
