Last week we heard how The Dark Knight helmer Chris Nolan is going to be playing the mentor to the David S. Goyer penned Superman Reboot, which I thought was kinda odd, I mean what director would want another director looking over their shoulder the whole time?
Well now we understand the reason why. IESB is reporting that Chris’ brother Jonah will make his directional debut on the tentatively titled The Man of Steel, which in turn is set to pave way for Chris Nolan to direct the Justice League movie after completing his duties on the Dark Knight follow up. Jonah has worked as co-writer with brother Chris on The Dark Knight and The Prestige and is now looking to cut his teeth on the directors chair.

I really liked Superman Returns (as you will read later today) and have always worried what would be done with the franchise under anyone other than Bryan Singer, but all of a sudden this sounds awesome! The dream team that rescued the Batman franchise from camped up, day-glow obscurity now steering the good-ship Superman?! This could be amazing!

Although Warner Brothers have yet to confirm this officially, I think we can expect something very soon…
