I absolutely LOVE the Rocky franchise (one day I’ll do a proper feature about it) however I wasn’t thrilled when word reached us a couple of days ago that Rocky 7 was going to be filming next year. When I read the original article, the quotes seemed a little familiar to me. In fact they were – they were taken from interviews Sylvester Stallone gave around the release of Rocky Balboa – the FINAL instalment. Thank god! I think it’s widely recognised that the last film was a great cap on the series and I think it would be a real shame to do another, I really can’t imagine where else Sly could take the character (avoiding the usual put downs). Also, the man is still busy on The Expendables and will be deep in production on Rambo 5 after that!
Although no official word has come from the studio (either way), a few sites have removed the story altogether, I guess we can put this one down to a slow news day!
