In more recent years Hollywood has realised that by producing sequels to a higher standard, people will actually go and watch them, which then leads to the possibility of further sequels. Well Dreamworks seems happy to buck that trend with the Shrek franchise. The first one was inventive, funny and looked great. The second one was, ok – saved b y Antonio Banderas’ turn as Puss in Boots. Shrek the Third was toss, and I haven’t seen the Christmas special (Shrek the Halls). What started as a great series of films which appealed to kids and adults alike, seems to have sadly fallen victim to the law of diminishing sequels.
Now we get Shrek Forever After.
If you want a high res version you can view it on the Apple website here. I’m sure you’ll have your own opinion on it, I’m not optimistic.
