Maybe not news, more of an insightful opinion perhaps, Judge Dredd creator John Wager seems pleased with both the production designs by comic book artist, Jock (Yup, just Jock) and the script by Alex Garland (28 Days Later) and is confident that all memories of the previous, Sylvester Stallone , installment will take the long walk.

Wagner spoke to fansite 2000AD Online;

“I have read the script by Alex Garland and seen Jock’s visuals. While I can’t go into detail about the content I can say that it’s high-octane, edge of the seat stuff, and gives a far truer representation of Dredd than the first movie. I hated that plot. It was Dredd pressed through the Hollywood cliché mill, a dynastic power struggle that had little connection with the character we know from the comic. Confident [about it being a better movie]? I will be once I hear they’ve started filming. There’s many a slip.”

So the new film won’t be as bad as the original… but that doesn’t mean it will actually be any good!

I’m sure it will though, did I forget to mention that Danny Boyle is producing? Business has just picked up!
