And it is who we all hoped for – Ivan Reitman – awesome! Reitman was interviewed by MTV on the red carpet at the The National Board of Review and was more than happy to talk about Ghostbusters 3 (no doubt to be abbreviated to GB3 or maybe just G3?) stating that he had a first draft and from writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (Year One) and that he is DEFINITELY returning to direct it!
Although Reitman wouldn’t give details of the script he did say a lot of good work had been done on it and there was a lot of cool stuff in it and that he hoped to start shooting “in this next year”.
Word has it that Rick Moranis has also said he would come out of retirement to reprise his role of Louis Tully if the film gets made (nothing to do with the uber dollar he would no doubt make I’m sure!), God bless ya Rick!
