Who will be the villain in Batman 3?

Hi Guys,

It’s been a long time since I have a read a Batman Comic, he was never my favourite, I always felt like he was up his own ass, he very rarely got on with any of the Justice League and let’s face it he’s no Supes. Now I know Bat’s is probably everyone’s favoured Superhero (is Batman actually a superhero?) and I can’t disagree that Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are hands down the best comic movies out there and after reading all these damn rumours on which character is going to be the next villain and who will be playing him, I decided to make I my own list of the possible villains and who I would like to see in the role.

The Riddler - Alan Tudyk 

Eddie Murphy, no thank you! Edward Nigma aka the Riddler was first introduced in comics back 1940′s, over the years he’s proven to be one the best cape crusader villains and most enjoyable to read, with his psychotic and compulsive behaviour, he’s obsessed with riddles and puzzles and uses this against batman by sending him clues before he strikes. His trademark bowler hat and green jumpsuit with a question mark is how he roles. 

Glenn and Chris mentioned on one of their funny as fuck  Podcasts that if the Riddler was to be in Batman 3 he could play a kind of zodiac role, with Bats trying sort out the next riddle before he claims his next victim, I love this idea, I think it work well for film, many actor’s have been rumoured from Eddie Murphy to Johnny Depp, Depp could play any role and make it his own, but my choice for this dark twisted freak is Alan Tudyk, this guy is great he’s brill in Serenity/Dollhouse and as a convincing pirate in Dodgeball, I think he could pull of the geekiness of Edward Nigma and evilness of the Riddler…. 

 

The Penguin – Michael Sheen 

Nolan has hinted that the penguin would not be in the B3 but he could be such a great villain in Nolan’s Gotham, I think Michael sheen would be a great chose for Oswald Cobblepot aka the penguin. Sheen has had some great performances from lycan leader in Underworld, Clough in The Damned United and he took down an American president in Frost/Nixon, plus he’s banged Kate Beckinsale (Major man points there). 

I imagine the Penguin to be completely different from the Tim Burton version, in the comics he was never the freak he was in Batman Returns… he’s a mobster, a boss of criminal underworld. Most likely the easiest of the Batman villains to adapt for the third instalment, oh and he has fetish for umbrellas, ellas, ellas… 

 

Catwoman - Not interested

 

Victor Zasasz – Jacky Earle Harley/Tim Booth

Zasasz appears briefly if Batman Begins, Rachel Dawes names drops him as the butcher and one Falcone’s thugs, he escapes from Arkham when Ra’s al Ghul attacks Gotham city, he is played by Tim Booth the lead singer from Brit band James (I shit you not), he’s not a well known villain of Batman but this Guy could be interesting. He kills his victims with a knife then cuts himself so he can keep a tally of his victims, he was a wealthy business man who ended up losing every think to the penguin, he tried to commit suicide but was attacked by homeless man, who he ended up killing and I guess he must of enjoyed it and so he carried on, what he calls liberating people from their pointless existence, if Tim Booth was to be replaced my shout would be Jacky Earle Harley 

 

Harley Quinn – Isla Fisher 

As a lot blokes will know, some women can be a little crazy sometimes, but only a few can compare to Harley. She was assigned with the task to analyse the Joker while in Arkham Asylum, the more time she spent with that loon, the more she became infatuated with him, she was so popular in Comic World that she even had her own series of comics in the early 2000′s, am not sure how she would fit into the Nolan’s Batman, I doubt she will get the nod, but it would be fun. 

 

 

Killer Croc – Idas Elba 

He is a ruthless criminal who wants to take over the Gotham’s underworld, in the comics he has reptilian appearance and is hard enough to go toe to toe with Bain on many occasions but due to his appearance I can’t see Nolan using him, unless they change him a man with a skin desease, which could maybe make his skin shed and look scaly all over. I doubt he will be the main villain, possible supporting villain, as for who would I cast Idas Elba, this guy is just cool, if u haven’t seen the Wire pick it up it’s great Elba is cool as fuck in it and I think with his build he could pull off the Croc….

 

 Talia Al Ghul – Olivia Wilde

She’s the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul from Batman Begins, in the comics she is Batman’s love interest. She’s a strange one not a hero but also not a villain, she would be a perfect love interest for Bats, but how will she take it that Batman chose not to save her father at the end of BB?
