Shattered Union heading for the multiplex

Glenn being the game fanatic that he is, I’m kinda surprised he hasn’t picked up on this one. Post-nuclear-civil war videogame Shattered Union is being brought to the big screen by none other than mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski.

Pirates Of The Caribbean and Prince of Persia executive producers Mike Stenson and Chad Oman are onboard to help Straczynski bring the movie to life. The film is being made for Disney and is being produced by Bruckheimer’s production company. No details of a release date just yet.

The game is set in the US following a nuclear attack on Washington DC, as civil war breaks out, Europe and Russia get involved, bringing the world to the brink of World War III.

I have to admit, this isn’t a game I’ve played, or even heard of! Is this something that will translate well to cinema?
